WebQuest for the English advance level education



INTRODUCTION


Don’t you know the Madison square garden? Have you smoked a cigarette in central park? Do you imagine you eating scorpions or running in the Great Wall of China? What people can do in a foreign country or unknown place?

In this Webquest we are going to make a review about some things that people use to do or are not allowed to do due to their traditions and customs. In this virtual tour we can learn new vocabulary to approach at the knowledge about new places in the world with out visiting them. On the other hand, we could interact with foreign people in a good manner following their social rules.




TASK





  • To do this task team 1, team 2, team 3 and team 4 will investigate everything related about an specific country given below. Here we have the countries that you will investigate according to your team.

TEAM 1 CHINA
TEAM 2 MEXICO
TEAM 3 INDIA
TEAM 4 FRANCE 

·         Write a little paragraph with the information about the country that you have been investigated.

·         Each team will take notes about interesting things according to 4 things what people are allowed and are not allowed to do. 


·         In your investigation you have to clarify the main thing or custom that people are allowed or are not allowed to do and specify what the reason is. 


·         When you all have finished your investigation try to be agree with your team to collect pictures on the web to start working in a power point presentation.

·         Each team will spend 4 minutes for each student to complete at least 10 or 15 minutes for the whole presentation.


·         At the end of your presentation you have to answer the question below to the audience.


What important things have I learnt about the customs in this country?




ORIENTATION


  •  Before your presentation you could try to make a list of the stuffs with the material that you are going to use.


  •   Write a short draft in your own words to help you with the oral presentation.

  • Try to check 4 different reliable sources information.

  •    In your slides please try to use no more than three colors.

  •   Depend on your goal; please! use only keywords in your presentation to explain just the main points.

CONCLUSION



At the end of the activity you and your classmates are going to be ready to face the challenge  that implies to learn new vocabulary, new culture customs and new expresions used them in a real contex life. People have always been worried about what they have to do if they found their selves out of information according the right things that belong in a specific place in the world. Now, you have learnt how people have to act depending on the situation and the customs that they know by reading and investigating on the web. Now, we have the technology to do it. Anyway, it’s good for people to know and keep traditions because they are complete of history and it’s an important part of our culture and lives.

LA WEB 2.0 ESCRITO REFLEXIVO

La web 2.0. Recurso educativo La web 2.0 es una herramienta de integración entre lo social y lo tecnológico, donde las nuevas aplicaciones proporcionan servicios a los usuarios, y esos servicios generan contenidos, información y comunicación. Esto conlleva a un amplio concepto de posibilidades a nivel educativo, puesto que permite la participación social de un grupo de personas para elaborar una serie de contenidos, sobrepasando la barrera de la individualidad a través de las nuevas tecnologías, y acercándose más a la tarea del profesor como mediador, y al alumno como verdadero aprendiz de sus conocimientos, convirtiéndolo en un profesionista en el proceso de su formación a cualquier hora y en cualquier lugar, siempre que pueda acceder a la información a través de un dispositivo móvil. Con la ayuda de la web 2.0 el aprendizaje es más eficiente, ya que el alumnado participa siendo parte activa del mismo porque no requiere de grandes conocimientos informáticos, mejora la comunicación entre individuos, mejora la accesibilidad de los tiempos de aprendizaje, permitiendo al alumno organizar sus responsabilidades educativas según sus necesidades y motivación. Por otro lado en el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje, se pueden aplicar metodologías más prácticas mediante el uso de la web. Podemos encontrarnos muchos de los recursos pedagógicos como la Web 2.0. Todos estos recursos deben contar con aspectos fundamentales para ser considerados como herramientas Web 2.0, donde sea visible que permiten en todos ellos publicar, mezclar, compartir, relacionarse y cooperar tales como: blogs, wikis, podcast, redes sociales, slideshares, youtube, google, foros, etc.
